The club has now made its second signing official, adding Leicester City midfielder N'Golo Kante into the fold, after previously signing Michy Batshuayi earlier in the transfer window.
Kante joined the Blues on Saturday after signing a five-year contract with the five-time Premier League winners.
“I am so happy to have signed for one of the biggest clubs in Europe,” Kante said. “It’s a dream come true for me. The opportunity to work with Antonio Conte, a brilliant coach, and some of the best players in the world was simply too good to turn down.”
“My first season in English football was very special and now I hope to go on to achieve even more during my time as a Chelsea player. I am looking forward to meeting up with my new team-mates and helping the club achieve a lot of success.”
Kante, 25, made a name for himself in the Premier League during the 2015/16 season after helping the Foxes to their first top flight title in the club’s history.
The Frenchman helped guide Les Bleus to the EURO 2016 final last week, before falling to champions Portugal in the finale.
The central midfielder appeared in 37 of the team’s 38 PL matches a season ago, making a great impact as the side’s key ball winner. Additionally, despite mostly being noticed as a physical and unrelenting force in the heart of the midfield, Kante is a very capable distributor, which bodes well for the rest of the Chelsea attack, particularly Eden Hazard, Willian and Diego Costa.

With Willian, Hazard, Nemanja Matic and now Kante likely among the favorites to start out of the midfield next season, the Blues have built up arguably the top midfield in the PL, creating clear matchup nightmares for the opposition.
