Rafa Benitez knows Real Madrid’s young talent a bit, being well-acquainted with the club even before his short stint in charge last season.
Now with Newcastle United, Benitez has an asset prized by Real. The rub? Florentino Perez reportedly doesn’t want to pay the $46 million price tag slapped on Moussa Sissoko.
So, according to the Chronicle, Newcastle could accept a smaller fee to go with a player from the UEFA Champions League squad.

While Magpies fans obviously wouldn’t see Toni Kroos or Alvaro Morata coming back the other way, Benitez knows what Newcastle needs for their promotion push.
NUFC fans may, however, feel free to dream of an attacking talent joining from the exclusive La Liga outfit, for if the Magpies sell both Sissoko and Georginio Wijnaldum, Benitez will certainly be looking to add more to the offense.
And with Barcelona scooping up Andre Gomes, Real might be feeling an urge to make a splash (By “might”, we mean it’s probably driving spotlight-hound Perez nuts!).
