Liverpool 4-0 Barcelona

Sadio Mane was put on this planet to play soccer with Jurgen Klopp as his manager. The Senegalese attacker’s greatest attributes — open-field speed, close-range speed, a directness towards goal, and a non-stop motor — will see him have an otherworldly debut season at Liverpool, you can be sure of that.

On Saturday, Mane was busy terrorizing the Barcelona defense in an International Champions Cup friendly at Wembley Stadium (check out Mane’s first goal for the Reds, here). Divock Origi and Marko Grujic, a summer signing from Red Star Belgrade (Serbia), joined Mane on the scoresheet, alongside Javier Mascherano, who contributed an own goal.

Everton 0-1 Espanyol

Leo Baptistao scored the game’s only goal, from the penalty spot, as Ronald Koeman‘s Everto dropped its second game of the preseason and moved to four games without a victory in their final tune-up fixture before they kick off their 2016-17 PL campaign next Saturday, against last season’s third-place finishers, Tottenham Hotspur, at Goodison Park (10 a.m. ET — Watch live on CNBC and online via Extra Time).

Hamburg 1-0 Stoke City

Likewise, Mark Hughes‘ Stoke City dropped their final preseason warm-up, as Michael Gregoritsch tallied for Bobby Wood’s Hamburg (Wood played 45 minutes in the friendly). That makes it two losses for the Potters this preseason, to go with two wins (against Orlando City SC and the MLS club’s USL B-side) and a draw (Preston North End). They’ll visit Middlesbrough’s Riverside Stadium next Saturday (10 a.m. ET — Watch live on Extra Time).
