Reports suggested that Mane, 24, may have suffered a dislocated shoulder after being involved in a heavy tackle in training and pictures emerged showing Mane leaving Melwood with a sling on his left arm.

Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s game at Burnley on Saturday (Watch live, 10 a.m. ET on NBCSN and online via NBC Sports) Klopp believes the injury isn’t too serious but isn’t sure if Mane will be available to play.

“It was a situation in a challenge with two players up in the air, they come down and Sadio fell on his shoulder, but it’s not that serious. I have no idea if he can play on the weekend or not but I don’t think it will take a long time. Things like this will always happen,” Klopp said.

Mane was electric on his Premier League debut for Liverpool, scoring a stunning goal to put them 4-1 up and causing Arsenal’s makeshift defense all kinds of issues with his blistering pace.

The $45 million summer signing from Southampton seems like the perfect fit for Klopp’s high-pressing system and if he is out for an extended period of time then it will be a big blow for the Reds early in the season.

Reports have also suggested that it was Alberto Moreno who injured Mane in the training ground challenge, which came just days after Moreno was heavily criticized for giving away a penalty kick against Arsenal early on and also being out of position at left back to let in Theo Walcott‘s for Arsenal’s opening goal.
