Neymar Junior is not content with being a superstar on the pitch for Barcelona and Brazil.
He wants to be a star on the stage.
The 24-year-old forward will release his first single as a musician this Wednesday and it will be available via his personal Facebook page.

In a message he posted in Twitter late on Sunday following Barca’s shock 2-1 defeat to Alaves in La Liga, the man who is adored across Brazil revealed that he’s stepping behind the mic.
“This Wednesday I begin my music career and I’m going to release my first song on Facebook.”
There have been plenty of players in the past who have fancied themselves as pop stars.
John Barnes appeared on the “Anfield Rap” and also “World in Motion” which was England’s anthem at Italia ’90, while more recent stars such as Paris Saint-Germain’s Jese (formerly of Real Madrid) performs Reggaeton rap under the stage name Jey-M.
There have been many other attempts by soccer stars to get into the music business with some more successful than others…
We don’t know how good it will be but what we do know is that Neymar loves music and he’s posted videos of him playing the piano in the past.
On Tuesday Neymar and Barcelona take on Celtic in their first group game in the UEFA Champions League but let’s see what Wednesday brings.
There’s no doubting that his musical debut is eagerly anticipated.
