Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne ran riot against Manchester United in the Manchester derby and has deservedly been crowned Premier League Player of the Week for Matchday 4.
The Belgian forward, 25, scored the opener and saw his shot come off the post and into the path of Kelechi Iheanacho who struck City’s second goal in their 2-1 win over their crosstown rivals.

De Bruyne continually stole the ball back in dangerous areas in the first half to help City dominate United and in the second half he was lethal on the counter attack, hitting the post with another effort as the ball somehow squirmed across the line and out when he looked destined to score his second and City’s third of the game.
Pep Guardiola praised De Bruyne after the game and in the video above you can see exactly why.
