Record-signing Islam Slimani looks the real deal through two matches in a Leicester City uniform, as the champs beat Burnley 3-0 at King Power Stadium on Saturday.

Slimani scored in first half stoppage time before striking again in the 48th minute off a Jamie Vardy heel flick to make it 2-0.

The Foxes move ninth, with 7 points, while Burnley sits 15th for the time being with four points.

Despite a couple early promises proffered by Burnley, the reigning champs in blue really claimed control of the half as we neared the half-hour mark.

Riyad Mahrez dribbled well, despite plenty of attention paid to him and Algerian teammate Islam Slimani, winning a corner than began a series of possessive enquiries from the hosts.

Slimani slipped through Danny Drinkwater with a inch-perfect pass in the 33rd minute but Burnley’s Stephen Ward stopped the ball before the Leicester man could trouble ‘keeper Tom Heaton.

Steven Defour‘s low doorstep header was collected by Leicester backup ‘keep Ron-Robert Zieler, and the Foxes soon struck the other way. Record signing Slimani made sure Leicester had a lead at the break.
