Leicester pleased to roll Burnley, “not suffer a European hangover”

Champions League win plus Premier League win equals first test passed.

Leicester City’s burnt Burnley 3-0 on Saturday at the King Power Stadium to put to bed the first batch of concerns about handling their newly-congested schedule.

Islam Slimani scored twice for the Foxes, building on his strong debut in a 3-0 defeat at Club Brugge earlier this week.

Here’s Danny Drinkwaterfrom the BBC:

“We have been away for the first time as a club and it was new for us. So it was a relief to come back and not suffer a European hangover. Getting three points was the most important thing.”

It’s clear the win was a relief.
