The midweek Bundesliga began with four matches on Tuesday, with plenty of Americans on show in Germany.

Christian Pulisic again started, though clearly Thomas Tuchel is trying not to exhaust the youngster.

Meanwhile, Bobby Wood and Timmy Chandler also started, with Alfredo Morales appearing off the bench.

Wolfsburg 1-5 Borussia Dortmund

One of the world’s most exciting team was at it again on Tuesday, and American teen Christian Pulisic started his first game as an 18-year-old.

He split halves with Gonzalo Castro, having played 225 minutes in six days, departing with BVB up 2-0 on goals from Raphael Guerriero and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Aubameyang completed his brace in the second half, while Lukasz Piszczek and Ousmane Dembele also scored for Dortmund.

Also, here’s a graphic to put in the back of your mind, USMNT fans:

Freiburg 1-0 Hamburger SV

Nils Peterson was the only goal scorer in this one, with USMNT striker subbing off for the visitors in the 76th minute.

Darmstadt 1-1 Hoffenheim

Andrej Kramaric scored at the start of the second half for Hoffenheim, and Antonio Colak waiting until the very death to equalize for the hosts.
