Lucas Perez has his first two Arsenal goals after striking twice in the Gunners’ 4-0 EFL Cup win over Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.
The $22 million man arrived from Deportivo La Coruna in the summer transfer window, and showed a very deft touch to go with a bulldog run for his second goal.

The showing left manager Arsene Wenger quite impressed, with his only critique being that the left footer uses his left foot a lot.
“I liked his second goal because it was not only technique but it was determination, to fight for the ball and finish, I liked as well the part he played in the goal of Oxlade-Chamberlain because it shows that he can combine with other people and that he is an intelligent player.”
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Granit Xhaka also scored for Arsenal in the road win, with USMNT prospect Gedion Zelalem subbing on for the final 7 minutes.
Next up for the Gunners: a Saturday afternoon visit from Chelsea.
