Joe Allen‘s first goal for Stoke gave them a 1-0 lead over West Bromwich Albion at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday but Salomon Rondo struck in stoppage time to grab a point for the Baggies.
Allen struck with 17 minutes and Stoke thought they had their first win of the Premier League season but former manager Tony Pulis had the last laugh in his 1000th game as a manager.
With the point Stoke stay second on 2 points, while West Brom now have eight points.

It was an even start in Staffordshire as both teams were desperate for the win.
Stoke had a good chance to open the scoring in the first half as Glen Johnson lobbed the ball towards goal but Craig Dawson cleared off the line brilliantly to keep the scores level.

In the second half Stoke pushed hard to go ahead as Allen was twice denied and on his second attempt Dawson again blocked well for the Baggies.
The Potters thought they should have had a penalty kick as Erik Pieters was bundled over in the box by Matt Phillips but only a corner was given.

Stoke finally went ahead in the 73rd minute as Allen scored his first goal for the Potters. The Welsh international slotted home a right footed effort after Xherdan Shaqiri‘s cross.

West Brom almost equalized in the closing stages with James McClean‘s header saved well by on loan goalkeeper Lee Grant. However they did make it 1-1 in the 91st minute as Rondon broke Stoke’s hearts just when they thought they’d grabbed their first win of the season.
