A win is a win, but even Arsene Wenger will be the first to admit that his team was “a bit fortunate” to take the points on Sunday.

Arsenal nabbed a 1-0 win over Burnley at Turf Moor following Laurent Koscielny‘s stoppage-time winner. Despite controlling much of the match, the Gunners had just three shots on goal to show for their possession.

Wenger’s boys were rewarded with the win though, when Koscielny converted off the team’s 93rd minute corner kick with a point-blank finish.

“We are a bit fortunate today, because we are a bit jaded physically and made some technical mistakes,” Wenger said following Sunday’s victory.

“Burnley defended very well and they looked from every corner as if they could score. I have not seen the winner but I have been told that we were a little fortunate.”
