LIVE: UEFA World Cup qualifying: England-Slovenia; Germany, Poland in action

Another nine qualifying games take place in the UEFA region on Tuesday as European nations continue their march to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

England’s trip to Slovenia has stolen most of the headlines, mostly because captain Wayne Rooney has been dropped by Gareth Southgate for the clash.

In an open and honest media conference on Monday both Southgate and Rooney discussed the decision and handled it admirably. On the pitch Jordan Henderson will skipper the Three Lions who are looking to make it three wins from three to open up Group F play.

Elsewhere in Group F there’s a tasty clash in Bratislava as Slovakia host Scotland, while in Group C Germany host Northern Ireland with both teams unbeaten through two games and the reigning World Cup champs top of the group. Can Northern Ireland shock the Germans in Hannover? In Group E both Poland and Denmark have very winnable games on home soil as they look to stake their claim for to spot.
