Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka is adapting to the Premier League, and has had some time to weigh what makes the league special.

He told the Arsenal web site that the Bundesliga and Premier League have common ground in skill and tactics, but an element of urgency elevates England’s top flight.
“Physically the English league is much harder then the Bundesliga,” he told Arsenal Player. “The tempo is higher and there’s lots of pressure, especially here at Arsenal, where there’s a lot more expectation than at Monchengladbach.”
The 24-year-old has started Arsenal’s last four games, and overall has two goals for the Gunners. He captained Switzerland in a 2-1 win over Romania on Monday, days after sitting out a suspensions for card accumulation.
