When it comes to Sergio Aguero, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola continues to make it extremely clear that the Argentine is in his plans.
Aguero scored a pair of goals in Saturday’s demolition of West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns, adding an assist on Ilkay Gundogan‘s second goal.

So it’s natural that Guardiola, who has sometimes used a fully fit Aguero off the bench, would be asked about his star striker.
It’s difficult to imagine anyone will be making any transfer rumors out of his reply. From the BBC:
“We need Sergio. We know how important he is for us when he can convince us how good he is and how important he is for this club. He is part of the history for this club. I would like to help him. Still he can write the most brilliant images for himself in this club. He is one of the best. I am going to help him to be much, much better. That is my target. So that every game he feels how important he is. I’m so, so happy for him because with all of that he is one of the nicest people I have met.”
It’s not the first time Guardiola has pledged to take Aguero to the next level.
Maybe it’s just us, but if Guardiola is talking about Aguero potentially producing one of the most vivid legacies in Man City history, it stands to reason he’s not trying to ship him to another team.
