Bob Bradley, still without a win in the Premier League, faces his toughest test yet as Swansea City manager as they host Manchester United at the Liberty Stadium at 10 a.m. ET live on CNBC or live online at NBCSports.com.
However, if there is any time to face Manchester United, it appears now would be it.
The Red Devils have won just one of their last four in all competitions, and just one of their last seven in Premier League play. Jose Mourinho still appears unable to figure out how to best utilize his attacking players, and as a result Zlatan Ibrahimovic has gone six matches without scoring, and the whole team has been held scoreless in three.
Mourinho has chosen to bring Wayne Rooney back into the side after being left out of the last two. Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford both begin on the bench, while Paul Pogba stays in the side despite suffering an injury midweek. Ander Herrera misses out with his suspension, while manager Mourinho will be forced from the sidelines with his touchline ban.
On the other end, Swansea has Jefferson Montero on the bench, still unable to make the starting lineup after recovering from a calf injury. Kyle Naughton also misses out, stuffed among the substitutes due to illness.
The Swans can’t pull themselves out of the relegation zone with a single win, but they can jump Hull City pending their result against Southampton, and pull one away from an escape from the drop. Manchester United would pull up to 18 points with a win, even with Everton in sixth. Swansea has won three of the last four against the Red Devils.
