With AC Milan firmly in Serie A contention in 2016/17, the Rossoneri could be in the market for one of the Premier League’s top wingers.
According to Calciomercato, AC Milan has approached Leicester City over a potential move for outside midfielder Riyad Mahrez as the club looks to bolster its attack and push Juventus and Roma for supremacy in Italy’s top flight.
Milan currently sits third in Serie A, but the club is just seventh in goals scored through 12 matches with 19.
Mahrez, 25, has only managed to net one PL goal thus far in 2016, however, the Algerian has been in fine form in the UEFA Champions League. The speedy winger has scored three goals in four UCL appearances this season, helping the Foxes to the top of Group G through four games.
Although Leicester’s poor league form has them currently sitting 14th in the PL, the Foxes certainly won’t allow Mahrez to go for cheap. Claudio Ranieri‘s side cut down a bid from Arsenal over the summer, prompting Mahrez to sign a new contract with Leicester until 2020.Follow @MattReedFutbol
