Liverpool’s Adam Lallana is doubtful for his club’s Premier League match against Southampton this Saturday. The midfielder went down with an injury during England’s 2-2 draw with Spain on Tuesday.
Lallana scored for his country from the penalty spot within the first 10 minutes of the match to give him a goal in each of his last three appearances for England.
However, he was forced to be subbed off after suffering an injury in the 27th minute.

Following the match, England interim manager Gareth Southgate did not have much information on Lallana’s injury, but praised the player.
“It was a great shame because I’ve really enjoyed working with him. He’s an intelligent, very talented footballer who’s adding goals to his game for England. He was quite key to how we were wanting to play.”
Lallana has three goals and is tied for the team-lead with five assists for Liverpool this season, which sits at the top of the Premier League.
His absence would be a tough loss for Liverpool. Lallana has appeared in every Premier League match for Liverpool this season and has been a key part of the team’s attack, which leads the Premier League with 30 goals through 11 matches.
