The Blues won their sixth straight PL match on Sunday after defeating Middlesbrough, 1-0, at the Riverside Stadium behind Diego Costa‘s tally.

While Conte’s men have managed to find their footing in front of the net, the Italian’s 3-4-3 system continues to do wonders for the club defensively. Chelsea has netted 17 goals in their last six matches, while keeping the likes of Leicester City, Manchester United and Everton all off the scoresheet.

Cesar Azpilicueta has played a key role in Conte’s three-back unit, and the Spaniard says that the team’s confidence continues to build with each match that they win.

“Always a win and to be top of the table gives you more confidence because this is where we want be and, obviously, even at this stage, it is important,” Azpilicueta said following Sunday’s win.

“I enjoy winning, we are in good shape and we are keeping clean sheets, we are scoring goals and that’s the most important thing. We, the players, are enjoying the way we are playing. It is still a long way to go, but we climbed to the top of the table when we had the chance and we have to keep working.

“The most important thing is to finish, in May, in this position. We are there and we are working to keep this place and to try to be there at the end of the season.”
