Michael Dawson‘s second half goal pushed Hull closer to escaping the drop zone, as West Brom wasted an early lead in a 1-1 draw at the KC Stadium on Saturday.
Gareth McAuley headed the Baggies in front, but the promising start led to a mere point. West Brom sits ninth with 17 points.
Hull remains in 18th, but is level with Crystal Palace and West Ham with 11 points.

West Brom looked very much like the side that battered Burnley 4-0 on Monday, while Hull City followed suit by looking almost as shaky as it did against Sunderland.
A yellow card came Michael Dawson’s way after a perceived block on Allan Nyom, and West Brom had a free kick from 25 yards out from goal.
Sam Clucas took a yellow card that could’ve bene red for a nasty tackle on Darren Fletcher. McAuley then put West Brom ahead when his header turned a set piece into a goal.

The second half was lacking pace and fun, but Hull’s captain changed that when he plucked a nodded down ball out of the air from a free kick to make it 1-1 in the 72nd minute.
David Marshall made a fantastic save on Nacer Chadli‘s high-powered free kick to keep it level with four minutes to go.
