Real Sociedad 1-1 Barcelona

Barca fell to six points off the pace of Real Madrid in the La Liga title race, thanks to a disappointing draw away to Real Sociedad. The Blaugrana went behind in the 53rd minute, when Gerard Pique appeared to score an own goal (it was ultimately awarded to Willian Jose). Lionel Messi brought Barca back on level terms six minutes later, but that would be as close as they’d get to three points on the day. With the first El Clasico of the 2016-17 season on tap for next Saturday, Madrid could go nine points clear before the halfway mark of the campaign.

Osasuna 0-3 Atletico Madrid

Atleti snapped a two-game losing skid and inched their way back into the top-three race, still just three points back Sevilla, with a 3-0 away win over Osasuna. Diego Godin opened the scoring not long after the half-hour mark, followed immediately by Kevin Gameiro’s team-leading (tied with Antoine Grizemann and Yannick Carrasco) sixth goal of the season a minute later. Carrasco grabbed his sixth of the league campaign in the 90th minute, and Atleti completed their first clean sheet in the league since Oct. 2 (five games without).

Genoa 3-1 JuventusFULL RECAP

Just to keep things interesting into December, Juve decided they’d drop three points away to Genoa. In truth, Massimiliano Allegri’s side never really showed up on the day, and found themselves down 3-0 inside the opening half-hour. Gone is the four-game winning streak, and their hold on the top spot down to four points against AC Milan.

Roma 3-2 Pescara

Edin Dzeko bagged a brace before the clock read 10 minutes, but Roma made difficult work of a home win over Pescara. Diego Perotti put Roma ahead 3-1 in the 71st minute, 11 minutes after giving a goal back right on the hour mark, but Pescara got another one back three minutes later to set up a nervy, frantic finish at the Olympic Stadium in Rome. The victory sends Roma back to second in the league table, level on points with Milan, ahead on goal differential.
