More reports today that Liverpool will continue its pursuit of USMNT teenager Christian Pulisic during the January transfer window.
The Daily Mail is one of several sources claiming that a long-term absence of Philippe Coutinho, who is undergoing scans after a scary injury on Saturday, would tip the scales for Jurgen Klopp. The Reds will also be missing Sadio Mane in January for the Africa Cup of Nations.

But, and we’ll say it again, Pulisic is signed through 2018-19 and Borussia Dortmund has expressed interest in getting the 18-year-old a new contract. And if Coutinho is out for six weeks, as has been speculated in the English press, that won’t even stretch deep into the January window.
The “Pulisic to Anfield” stories have essentially been monthly since August, with The Daily Mail a prime source. And their quote of a $31 million minimum would shatter the record for an American abroad (Jozy Altidore‘s move from AZ Alkmaar to Sunderland cost about $13 million).
Barring a wild offer, it’s difficult to believe Dortmund would sell Pulisic. The right wing has played the 10th most minutes on BVB despite his young age and competition on the wings from Andre Schurrle and Emre Mor amongst others.
