Manchester United host West Ham and Arsenal welcome Southampton as the final two spots in the EFL Cup semifinals are up for grabs.
Liverpool overcame Leeds United 2-0, while Hull City beat Newcastle United on penalty kicks on Tuesday as the Premier League duo await the winners of Wednesday’s game in the two-legged semifinals.
Jose Mourinho will not be on the sidelines of United as he was handed a one-game ban by the English FA for kicking a water bottle down the line in frustration when his side drew 1-1 with West Ham at Old Trafford in the PL on Sunday.
As for Arsenal and Southampton, both teams will field weakened sides (plenty of young talent will be on show) with their main priority the Premier League, yet Saints did knock Arsenal out of the League Cup at the Emirates two season ago.
