Cristiano Ronaldo was named the best player on the planet for the fourth time in his career on Monday as the Real Madrid and Portugal beat Lionel Messi to win the coveted Ballon d’Or award.

The 31-year-old striker led Real to the UEFA Champions League title and Portugal to the EURO 2016 crown last year to augment his stunning individual season which saw him score 51 goals in 48 appearances in all competitions for Real Madrid in the 2015-16 campaign.
To celebrate winning his fourth Ballon d’Or (he’s now just one behind Messi, who has five) Nike have made Ronaldo a limited edition pair of boots. They are sublime.
