The versatile midfielder limped off the Etihad Stadium pitch in a 2-0 win over Watford on Wednesday, and Guardiola said it’ll be months before he’s back.
“I’m so sad for Ilkay Gundogan as it looks like we’ll be without him for a long time. I think several months,” Guardiola said, according to the BBC.
The manager also spoke on Claudio Bravo, who hasn’t had a red-hot start to his time in England but did well on Wednesday:
“It is not easy to come to a new club and a new country. I know what people say about him but he has good experience. When moments arrive he has to be brave. today he was excellent.”
