Could one of Tottenham’s promising youngsters be looking for a way out?
Well, according to the Times, the Tottenham midfielder is being eyed by several of the world’s top clubs in the event that he is displeased at White Hart Lane, including Chelsea and Bundesliga side Bayern Munich.
The Times is reporting that Dier is unhappy with his current playing situation after falling out of favor under manager Mauricio Pochettino. The 22-year-old signed a five-year contract in September with Spurs, but a move next summer can’t be ruled out if Dier doesn’t receive more playing time.
Dier has quickly become of England’s hottest young prospects, however, Pochettino has rated summer signing Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele as his preferred central midfield pairing despite Dier starting the first six matches of the season in the middle.
The Englishman has also filled in on defense in 2016 after Toby Alderweireld missed time due to injury. Alderweireld has since returned to the starting XI though, pushing Dier back to the bench.
