Hull didn’t quit, and Jake Livermore continued a run of in-form displays when he forced Hugo Lloris into a strong second half save.

Spurs then supplied a bit of comfort to their supporters, with Eriksen nabbing his second goal. Eric Dier found Kyle Walker, who sent a ball across the 18 for Eriksen to finish with a lot more ease than his first.

Eriksen nearly had a hat trick when his free kick hit the inside of the post, heading right for Wanyama’s easy finish.
