Ilkay Gundogan’s injury will cost him the season and more.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said so in Friday’s prematch press conference, admitting that the ACL injury suffered against Watford requires surgery.

Gundogan, 26, arrived from Borussia Dortmund this summer and has struggled to stay healthy but was dynamic while on the pitch.
He dislocated his patella earlier in the season, missing seven games, but has five goals and two assists in 16 matches across all competitions.
“Now we need him to feel we are there and wait and come back safe. He’s going to be operated and be back as soon as possIble.”
