Crystal Palace host Arsenal at Selhurst Park on Monday (Watch live, 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN and online via with the Eagles and Gunners both needing a big win for very different reasons.

Following their defeat at Southampton last week the Eagles are now just three points above the drop zone and have a horrendous set of games to finish with as they face five of the top six in their remaining eight games. For Arsenal, they face an intense battle to finish in the top four as they’re seven points off fourth-place Manchester City but Arsene Wenger‘s side have two games in hand.

Throw in all the confusion about Wenger’s future, plus that of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, and there’s so much on the line for the Gunners.

Simply put, neither side can afford to slip up in the final weeks of the season or Wenger’s proud record of never finishing outside the top four and Sam Allardyce‘s record of never being relegated from the PL will be over.
