VIDEO: Venezuela, Portugal reach U20 World Cup quarterfinals


Venezuela and Portugal are the first two teams to book their spots in the quarterfinals of the 2017 U-20 World Cup in South Korea.

Portugal battered the host nation 3-1 in Cheonan with two goals from Bruno Xadas and a strike from Bruno Costa doing the damage, as substitute Lee Sangheon scored a late consolation for South Korea.

Venezuela beat Japan 1-0 in Daejeon as Yangel Herrera’s header in extra time was enough to see the South Americans through and they will face the winner of the U.S. vs. New Zealand in the quarterfinal on Sunday.
