Harry Kane‘s second half goal led Tottenham Hotspur’s 1-0 win over Newcastle United, clinching a Top Four spot on Wednesday at Wembley Stadium.

Spurs are two points ahead of fourth place Liverpool, and four clear of fifth place Chelsea.

Newcastle remains 10th with 41 points.

The first half saw the sides trade dangerous free kicks, and the Magpies had plenty of chances to score on the day before finding the losing end.

First Martin Dubravka leapt to deny Spurs’ Christian Eriksen, followed by Newcastle’s Jonjo Shelvey beating Hugo Lloris and Spurs’ wall, but not the goal post.

Kane put Spurs again — of course he did — when he flicked a beauty home following a move with Heung-Min Son.

Dubravka stopped Danny Rose in the 90th minute to keep the visitors’ dim hopes alive.
