“Welcome to the Jose Mourinho show. I am Jose Mourinho, the greatest manager of all time…”
One would presume that will be the opening line for Mourinho’s new show, which he is host of, on Russian TV.
The legendary manager is spending plenty of time in Russia after his firing as United’s manager — most falling around during ice hockey games during publicity appearances — and he will now host a show on RT (formerly Russia Today) called “On the Touchline with Jose Mourinho.”
RT say the show will offer “unique analysis from the Portuguese managerial great on all the week’s Champions League action” and he will give “special insight into the biggest talking points in the world of football.”
Get that popcorn ready.
Mourinho, 56, worked for RT as an analyst during the 2018 World Cup and this show will begin on March 7. It will debut after the UEFA Champions League last 16 second leg games finish on that day, and Mourinho will work for RT until the UCL final on June 1.
It will be intriguing to hear his thoughts on Man United, as he led the club to the last 16 where they met PSG, and seeing Mourinho as a host of a TV show will certainly be a sight to behold.
nd mentioned several times that he now needs to learn about what goes on “behind the camera” before he returns to management.
Take a look at the trailer above to see what we can expect from Mourinho’s new show, which will likely be full of witty banter and praise for other managers…
