Plenty of kids have lost sight of their bearings in the presence of the heroes, and little Louis Fowler was the worse for wear following a bid to catch a glimpse of Mohamed Salah.
Fowler — what a last name for a Liverpool supporter, yeah? — went sprinting after Salah’s car as the Egyptian megastar left the training ground on Monday, and clattered into a lamp post.

While the player was worrying about his busted up nose, which would later need to be reset, that very car pulled back into view.
“He’d seen one of the boys had hurt himself and he had the decency to drive back into the close to check that he was okay. No-one could believe it. Everyone was gobsmacked. Mo asked if the boys were all right and gave them a big hug which was what they both needed. They were made up and Louis forgot all about being injured.”
It’s the little gestures sometimes, isn’t it?
