Manchester City – Norwich City saw Man City win 5-0 as Kevin de Bruyne equalled the Premier League record for assists in a single season (20) and Ederson won the golden glove for the most shutouts.
De Bruyne also scored two stunners, while Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez all scored in a one-sided clash. David Silva also said farewell in his final Premier League game for Man City after 10 amazing years.
Man City finish the season in second on 81 points, 18 points behind Premier League champions Liverpool. Norwich finish the season bottom and lost all nine of their game since the Premier League restart.
Raheem Sterling went close early on, then Onel Hernandez looked to have put Norwich 1-0 up as his low shot snuck past Ederson. However, VAR was used and Hernandez was just offside. Moments later Gabriel Jesus bundled home after Sterling did well down the right to put Man City 1-0 up, and that just about summed up Norwich’s season.
Norwich did look dangerous on the break but Man City had most of the ball as Tim Krul and Norwich denied Jesus a second as the Canaries defense threw themselves in front of the ball time and time again.
Before half time Todd Cantwell lobbed just over as Ederson was off his line, then a moment of magic arrive from De Bruyne who took some lovely touches on the ball and whipped home an amazing goal to make it 2-0.
