Richarlison ready to stay at Everton but will listen to offers

Barcelona bid big to lure Richarlison away from Everton in January, and the Brazilian striker could be subject to similar bids this summer.

Current Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has said he views the 23-year-old as a potential 30-goal man, and Toffees fans shouldn’t be freaking out… yet.

That this report comes out the same day the Toffees are linked with a big bid for Lazio center forward Ciro Immobile certainly raises an eyebrow or two.

From Sky Sports, translating Globo Esporte:

“It’s all been talked about, he’s already told me he’s counting on me for another season, he asked me to hold on for a bit. Though it all depends, if a good offer were to come in, we sit down and talk, that’s part of football. We’re still talking about these details, working things out.”

Richarlison has 29 goals in 79 appearances for Everton after his 5-goal, 5-assist season at Watford cued up a big money move to join Marco Silva at Goodison Park. A new contract in December will have raised his price tag in a big way.

His huge frame, electric skill set, and powerful play make him a fit for essentially any team or league but it a big ticket sale would not be the end of the world for an Everton side which will be reshaping in a big way this summer.

Ancelotti has to retool a midfield in a big way, a set back to the recovery of big summer buy Jean-Philippe Gbamin not helping matters. He’ll also probably want to take a look at the goalkeeper market after a rough couple of years from Jordan Pickford.

Leighton Baines has retired and the club has been linked with a fellow veteran full back in Branislav Ivanovic. Djibril Sidibe was on loan and Everton does not look to be using its purchase option.
