Mark Noble‘s brace insured a West Ham win after Andy Carroll scored early, as the Hammers took care of Watford 3-1 at the Boleyn Ground on Wednesday.

Sebastian Prodl scored for the Hornets, who are in a three-way tie for 11th with Everton and Bournemouth.

West Ham remains in sixth with 56 points, three behind Manchester United and two above Liverpool.

Carroll used his knee to put West Ham ahead off a cross from — who else? — Dimitri Payet in the early stages as the hosts asserted themselves with the lead.

The Hammers took a 2-0 lead after Cheikhou Kouyate was taken down in the box while going up for a header. Noble finished the PK chance past Heurelho Gomes, who couldn’t repeat his Saturday heroics.

Almen Abdi took down Michail Antonio in the second half, and Noble scored that PK down the middle to make it 3-0.

Prodl finished a pretty rebound off Steve Berghuis‘ free kick to give Watford a long shot chance to come back.

A third penalty came to the game via Watford, but Adrian stopped Troy Deeney. Then Watford’s Nordin Amrabat was sent off for a second yellow card.
