Key arrivals: Josip Drmic (Borussia Monchengladbach), Rob Nizet (Anderlecht), Ralf Fahrmann (loan, Schalke), Patrick Roberts (loan, Man City), Sam Byram (West Ham), Ibrahim Amadou (loan, Sevilla).

Key departures: Marcel Franke (Hannover 96), Steven Naismith (Hearts), Ivo Pinto (Dinamo Zagreb), Nelson Oliveira (AEK Athens)

Ranking their offseason: The Josip Drmic addition is a safe one, and the Canaries lost few players of consequence from their promotion campaign, but there’s a lot to be desired from the roster. 4/10

Star player: Teemu Pukki — Drmic may end up being the Canaries’ season-saving striker, but Pukki got them to the top flight. The 29-goal man has scored in Finland, Scotland, and Denmark, but struggled in the Bundesliga and La Liga way earlier in his career. Here’s hoping he can do the deed in this top league.

Coaches’ Corner: Daniel Farke — What is it with former BVB II managers leading relegation scraps in the Premier League? David Wagner made it work for a year and Jan Seifert couldn’t save Huddersfield Town last year. Farke’s done well, and it will be interesting to follow his journey this season.

PST predicts: A fight to stay up, and long odds to win said battle.
