The latest round of group games were won, lost and drawn as follows:

Sweden 0-1 England

Manchester United youngster Jesse Lingard scored a spectacular, late winner (below video) from just outside the penalty area, as Gareth Southgate’s England U-21 side knocked off Sweden to grab second place in Group B with a game to play. The goal was the first of the tournament for an England side that also includes strikers Harry Kane and Danny Ings.

A date with Italy in the two sides’ group stage finale awaits.

Germany 3-0 Denmark

Hoffenheim’s Kevin Volland scored a pair of goals on either side of halftime (his first two of the tournament) before Borussia Dortmund’s Matthias Ginter completed the scoring to put Germany top of Group A. Liverpool’s Emre Can scored a real beauty in the Germans’ first group game, a 1-1 draw with Serbia.

It’ll be 1st vs. 3rd when Germany and the Czech Republic face off in the group stage finale on Tuesday.

Serbia 0-4 Czech Republic

No one in this year’s tournament has scored more goals than 21-year-old Czech striker Jan Kliment (Czech side FC Vysocina Jihlava), and could be the breakout star making his way to one of Europe’s “bigger” sides following an impressive showing. Kliment bagged a hat trick against Serbia after failing to score in the opener against Denmark.
