Davide Moscardelli has made his way throughout Italian football throughout his career, and he likely scored one of his best goals on Saturday.
The 37-year-old striker picked up the ball near midfield in the first-half of this Arezzo’s match against Livorno in Italy’s Lega Pro A division, and what came next was simply fantastic.
Moscardelli managed to escape two defenders, before launching a lofted, left-footed effort from distance that left goalkeeper Luca Mazzoni stranded.
From there, Arezzo held on for the 1-0 victory, which moves the club into third place in Italy’s third division.
It’s only preseason but Tommy Thompson looked to be in midseason form on Saturday for the San Jose Earthquakes.
The 21-year-old forward opened the scoring for the Earthquakes during their friendly with Reno 1868 FC of the USL. Reno will make its debut in the league during the upcoming 2017 season.
Anyway, Thompson is surrounded by Reno bodies inside the penalty area, before pulling the ball back on his right foot and knocking it beyond the goalkeeper to give Dominic Kinnear’s side the 1-0 lead.
Estonia was never really expected to beat Portugal, but Ricardo Quaresma and co. ensured that through 45 minutes.

With Euro 2016 just days away, the Portuguese lead their European opponents 3-0 at the halftime break, with Quaresma notching a goal and an assist, both of which were things of beauty.

The Bestikas attacker sparked the Portugal onslaught with a spectacular outside-the-boot pass into the path of Cristiano Ronaldo, who headed home for the 1-0 lead in the 36th minute.
Quaresma then doubled the team’s lead three minutes later when the 32-year-old curled his effort over goalkeeper Pavel Londak, leaving Estonia in awe.
Ronaldo then capped off the half with his second goal on the stroke of halftime, as he chipped Londak from inside the penalty area.

During France’s match with Russia on Tuesday, the West Ham United midfielder scored an audacious free kick from roughly 35 yards away from goal.
The French went on to win the match, 4-2, with the team’s three other goals coming from Leicester City’s N’Golo Kanté, Andre-Pierre Gignac and Kingsley Coman.

The pretty goal started with DeAndre Yedlin earning a throw-in on the right wing. After a quick pass back from Mix Diskerud, Yedlin slides a neat ball back to the midfielder, who feints right before laying the ball back to Altidore.
